Hello By Charlotte Babes of the world… It’s the end of our Summer days here in Australia so I decided to soak up the sun in the beautiful coastal town of Byron Bay with my family. Relaxing, unwinding and spending our time with things as simple as listening to the birds and watching the sun set over the pacific ocean is just what we needed!
RELAXATION
I am well overdue for a holiday, this being my first in the last 5 years, so my main focus for this trip was relaxation and family time. One of my favourite morning routines is to go for a walk with my 5 month old daughter Estelle. While in Byron I have kept this routine going, I am a huge fan of the Byron Bay Lighthouse walk. It has spectacular views of the coastline and Watego’s.
DO
If you are looking for something more mindful, I recommend a meditation or yoga class at Awaken Meditation Retreats. I participated in their morning meditation class on Byron’s main beach, and the experience was incredible. Tomorrow we're taking the scenic drive into Byron's Hinterland where lies a place of beauty, peace and discovery. At the Crystal Castle, breathe in the stunning gardens and rainforest and find yourself in the ancient labyrinth or sacred Damanhur Spiral. Walk along the famous Buddha Walk, lined with rose quartz, hand carved statues and home to a four metre blessing buddha. When in Byron, I love to stop by the small town of Bangalow. The main street in lined with amazing cafes, homewares and fashion boutiques. I enjoy taking the time to explore each store and find those unique treasures. When your in the shopping mood, I recommend hitting the streets of Byron! Jai from Ahoy Trader stocks our jewels and I just love catching up with him.
EAT
We love Three Blue Ducks, at The Farm for their incredible farm to table meals. It’s a great family spot, where you can also stroll the grounds and meet the many animals. Folk Byron Bay
is my go to for healthy organic plant based meals.
STAY
Over the years we always return to the same beautiful beach house hidden in the Byron Hinterland. We love the location for its tranquility, each time I find myself at peace.
MUST HAVE
