Complimentary Instore Jewellery Cleaning Service
We offer a complimentary jewellery cleaning service instore at all by charlotte Boutiques and Pop-Ups. By leaving your jewellery for cleaning, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
1. Eligibility of Items
- This complimentary service is strictly limited to by charlotte jewellery that is solid gold or sterling silver.
- We cannot offer cleaning for:
- Gold plated jewellery
- Gold vermeil jewellery.
- Pieces with fragile, porous or sensitive gemstones that may not be suitable for ultrasonic or polishing processes.
- Jewellery that is not by charlotte.
2. Cleaning Methods
- Items will be cleaned using professional methods appropriate to the material. We reserve the right to determine the most appropriate cleaning method for each piece.
3. Turnaround Time and Waiting Periods
- While we aim to provide same-day or same-visit service whenever possible, waiting times will vary depending on:
- The number of customers instore.
- The number of pieces presented.
- The level of tarnish or required cleaning.
- Heavily tarnished pieces may require multiple cleaning sessions. In such cases, customers may be asked to leave their items instore for several days to complete the cleaning to our standards.
4. Limits and Exclusions
- We do not clean pieces outside of our approved materials list, to avoid damage or accelerated wear.
- We reserve the right to decline cleaning any item at our discretion if:
- It is deemed too delicate or at risk of damage.
- It is not compliant with the eligible materials.
- It shows structural issues (loose stones, broken clasps) that may be exacerbated by cleaning.
5. Customer Responsibility and Acknowledgement
- Customers are responsible for disclosing:
- The metal type of their pieces.
- Any prior damage or known issues.
- While we take great care, by charlotte is not responsible for:
- Pre-existing damage or wear.
- Damage that results from the ultrasonic or polishing process if the item has pre-existing faults or fragile components.
- Customers leave their jewellery at their own risk and must collect it within the advised timeframe.
6. Collection and Storage
- Customers must collect items by the agreed time or within a reasonable period after notification.
- Uncollected items after a set period may be stored off-site and additional retrieval times may apply.
