Postcards from the French Riviera

Postcards from the French Riviera

As we dream of summer somewhere, we looked to our dreamgirl Emily Yates for some vacation inspiration. Emily is spending the next month in the French Riviera, laying oceanside at Les Roches Rouges in golden jewels and her dreamy vacation wardrobe.

Lucky enough to have swapped many Australia winters for sparkling summers in Europe, we asked Emily for her guide to the south of France.

Where is your favourite place to stay on the French Riviera? What makes it so magical?

Of all the places I’ve visited, I think Cassis is my favourite little town. It’s quiet, but still full of life and energy! There’s just magic in the air- it’s hard to explain. It’s the smell of jasmine and lavender everywhere, the soft dreamy light. The crystal-clear ocean….

Describe your perfect day at Les Roches Rouges.

There’sreally not much too it. Wake, coffee, swim all day long, and a wine with the sunset!

The best meal you ate while on vacation?

Would have to be Gigi’s just outside of St Tropez. Everything on the menu is heaven.

What are your travel essentials?

Always sunscreen, noise cancelling headphones, a Korean face mask, Lemme Sleep gummies and the Basecamp sleep mask!

Did you discover any hidden gems or must-visit boutiques?

I honestly never spend too much time shopping when I’m in the south of France… I would prefer to make the most of being near the sea! However, if you’re heading to St Tropez, I’d recommend spending a few hours on Rue François Sibilli.
