Wholesale Manager - Parental Leave Cover

Role Intention:

by charlotte is seeking a Full-Time Wholesale Manager for a 12-month parental
leave contract.

The ideal candidate will be confident in the domestic and international fashion
sales market, holding at least 5 years of experience in wholesale. They will
have proven account management ability delivering on domestic and international
sales strategies that drive profitability and customer engagement. They will
align with the empowering culture we have fostered at by charlotte.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimise the market share of domestic and international wholesale accounts and develop a strategy to grow overall performance.
  • Work alongside key stakeholders to define and develop the go-to-market guide across the global and domestic markets to ensure the brand is consistently represented in all retail environments.
  • Identify new and maintain existing wholesale account opportunities for the international and domestic markets that contribute to the profitability of the wholesale channel.
  • You will lead, grow and develop the wholesale channel and department to ensure sales targets are met/exceeded each season through sales data analysis and strategy management in line with the brand’s overall strategy.
  • Partner with the Merchandising and Operations team to forecast for the channel and execute strategic functions within the wholesale.
  • Ensure the terms, conditions and functions of inventory management, indent orders, supply and delivery agreements, marketing and other dropship account functions are met.
  • Directly manage all major wholesale accounts, maintaining effective relationships and demonstrating an intimate understanding of contracts and terms of agreements.
  • Ensure accounts are physically and frequently supported throughout the year to assess VM and maintain high standards and strong relationships with on-floor staff.
  • Partner with the Finance team on the financials of the domestic wholesale accounts including invoicing, credits and payment reviews.
  • Manage external Sales agent representing the brand domestically and internationally.
  • Ensure clear communications with all accounts on pricing including discounts, price increases and changes to product lifecycle.

 

Desired Skills & Expertise:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in wholesale preferably in a fashion field with proven domestic and international sales and engagement
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft
  • Experience with Indigo8, JOOR or similar would be advantageous
  • Existing Australian wholesale customer network and knowledge
  • Strategic business planning, sales negotiation, brand positioning, customer relations and logistics
  • Strong business analytical skills
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate across different departments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive and dynamic environment
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting and sales planning
  • Exceptional customer service and networking skills and ability to build relationships with both key retailers and external partners.
